Description:

This program may be offered to staff, residents, or a combination of both. Our overall objective in this educational program is to improve awareness and care of LGBTQ+ individuals in senior living communities through the sharing of local LGBTQ+ stories, review of LGBTQ+ nomenclature, overview of relevant data as it relates to LGBTQ+ elders, and discussion of steps individuals and organizations can take to better support and affirm LGBTQ+ elders in senior living spaces.
